Directly reports to the hospital CEO and is a member of the Executive Team.  The Director of Development, Communication and Foundation directs the advancement of the organization’s mission and vision through developing relationships with community, state, and federal agencies and organizations.  Directs all activities for marketing, advertising, and communication through market research and strategic planning initiatives.  Directs all activities for community programs including student placements and volunteer programs.  Directs all event planning involving the public and oversees other internal special events as directed.  Directs all development activities involved with the solicitation of donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies. 

In Matrix with:  Executive Director of Growth and Marketing, Systems Communications Officer and Executive Director of Philanthropy at Mon Health System.


Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.   



Seven (7) years of experience in one or more of the following required: communications, marketing, fundraising, and/or community outreach development. 

Five (5) years of management level experience.

Demonstrated excellence in public speaking, multimedia, and grant proposal writing preferred.
