Location:

Rocket Center, WV is located along the North Branch Potomac River in Mineral County, West Virginia and is home to the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), a government installation operated by Northrop Grumman. Known for its scenic mountain landscapes, rolling hills and state parks, the region offers a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities to include hiking, mountain biking, skiing, fishing, hunting and whitewater rafting. This position falls under a Federal Explosives License issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for this location.  Candidates hired into this role will be required to complete and submit an Employee Possessor Questionnaire to ATF for approval to be a possessor.

   


The Associate Electrical Engineer will perform a variety of engineering tasks associated with the analysis, design, or testing of electronic hardware. In this position, you will apply theoretical knowledge and techniques to engineering problems.

      

Additional job responsibilities include:

  • Design and documenting of select commercially available equipment; coordinate design results with other design groups and evaluate the merits of the design.  

  • Prepare materials to support electrical engineers during Requirements and Design Reviews.

  • Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering technical principles to solve basic electrical engineering problems.

  • Support the testing and/or evaluation/validation of one or more elements of an electrical component, subsystem, or system analytical model or actual system implementation.

  • Perform a variety of specific engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature.

           



Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

 

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
  • Beable to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is apre-requisite)
