Process Automation Engineer

Process Automation Engineer sought by Nucor Steel West Virginia, LLC for the Apple Grove location. Candidate must have a Bach's or foreign equiv deg in Mechanical Engg or Mechatronics Engg & 2 yrs of exp in dvlpg & implmtg operational, maintenance, & testing procedures for automated machinery, eqpmt, & processes in steel melt shop. Exp must incl: Participating in the Functional Description Review, FAT, & Start Up of new Automation Systems for the Melt Shop.; Prgmg PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, robotics, hydraulic controls, & other automation platforms using languages such as ladder logic, scripting, & C#.; Implmtg automation solutions for EAF, LF, & VTD & processes that enhance process efficiency.; Dvlpg s/ware prgms, scripts, & configuration files to control & monitor automated eqpmt, machinery, & processes.; Utilizing IBA-Analyzer to analyze event logs & monitor the performance of automated systems to identify opportunities for enhancements.; & Utilizing TIA Portal & Prosoft to configure Profinet, Ethernet/IP, & Modbus connectivity protocols that ensure seamless data exchange between devices of the melt shop automation ecosystem.
