The Hampton Inn Elkins has a great opportunity to join our team as a Front Desk Agent.
-Responsible for counting cash, and maintaining accuracy of issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift.
-Daily checks the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
-Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests.
-Transmits and receives telephone messages when necessary.
-Works closely with the reservations department to ensure arrival dates on reservations are correct.
-Communicates all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
-Works closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
-Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explains in-room and hotel features.
-Responsible for completing all required shift paperwork and reports as assigned by management.
-Responsible for completing all end of shift cash closing procedures.
-Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
-Computes bill, collects payment, and makes changes for guests.
-Makes and confirms reservations.
-Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to ledger.
-Completes daily-required shift checklists.
-Must wear required uniform. Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
-Performs other duties as assigned by management.
